File Search

The File Search section searches the text of documents uploaded to the project: PDF, DOCX, and other files from the file attributes of products, pages, blocks, and other records. You can find not only a file by name but also a phrase within it — with highlighting of the found location and a link to the record to which the file is attached.

The search page opens from the File Search item in the sidebar menu. Above the search bar, there are two buttons:

The list is opened by the Indexed files button on the search page or via the link from the counter in the index coverage block — in this case, the filter is already applied. Here you can see each file that the indexer has processed and its status.

The settings can be accessed via the Settings button on the search page. Here, you specify which files to process, how much text to extract from them, and how to determine the language of documents and queries. You can also see which part of the files has already been indexed and initiate reindexing.
