Introduction
The "Blocks" module is designed to create structures that contain sets of attributes. The Platform OneEntry provides users with very flexible tools, and you can use the "Blocks" module as you see fit for your specific case. The main concept of the "Blocks" module is to create reusable entities (blocks) that contain sets of attributes and additional content.
Creating a Regular Block
In the introduction, we mentioned that there are three types of blocks in Platform OneEntry:
Creating a Block of Similar Products
The second type of blocks in Platform OneEntry is the "Block of Similar Products." This block is designed for products that share common characteristics. For example, it can group all products within a specific price range.
Creating a Product Block
The third type of blocks in Platform OneEntry is the "Product block."
Creating a Cart Complement Block
The Cart complement block is designed to recommend products that nicely complement what the user has already added to their cart. For example, a mouse for a laptop, or a belt or bag for a dress.
Creating a Cart Similar Block
The Cart Similar block recommends products similar to those that the user has already added to their cart. Unlike the Wishlist Similar, the source is the cart itself, not the favorites.
Creating a Wishlist Similar Block
The Wishlist similar block recommends products that are similar to those the user has added to their wishlist. It is structurally similar to the Cart similar — with the same fields and the same WishlistSimilarSettings screen — but it uses the wishlist as its source instead of the cart.
Creating a Frequently Ordered Block
The Frequently ordered block recommends products that statistically often appear in the same order. It is well-suited for the "Frequently bought together" section on the product or cart page.
Creating a Slider Block
The Slider block is a full-fledged slider editor for the main page or any other screen. It supports a tree structure of slides with nesting, drag-and-drop functionality, and individual display time settings for each slide.
Recommendation Blocks (Wave-2)
As part of the Wave-2 update, four more types of personalized recommendations have been added to the "Add Block" dropdown menu:
Audience Filter — audience block editor
AudienceFilterEditor is a separate editor that defines who will see the block. It is available on all Wave-2 settings screens (Cart complement, Cart similar, Wishlist similar, Frequently ordered, recommendation blocks).
Preview Modal — Preview of the block in the modal
PreviewModal is a common modal for all Wave-2 settings screens that shows the result of the block's operation in real time. It opens with the "Open in modal" button on the settings screens.
