Bonus

The Bonus type is a bonus accrual program: when a selected event occurs, the user receives bonuses to their bonus balance. Accumulated bonuses can be used when placing an order; general restrictions on their use are set in the global bonus settings.

A bonus is created in the same way as a discount: in the Add discount form, specify the Name, Marker, and select Bonuses in the Type field.

The bonus editor consists of the Basic data, Users, Events, Conditions, Bonus Size, and Version History tabs.

Basic data​

The same fields as in Discount: name, marker, start date (mandatory), and end date of the validity period.

Users​

The tab is structured similarly to the Personal Discount: select user groups that will receive the bonus, and if necessary, specify any exclusion users. If no group is selected, the bonus applies to all users.

Events​

This tab defines the event that triggers the bonus accrual. In the Accrual Trigger field, select one of the options:

  • forms — form submission. Additionally, select Form Type (registration, form data submission, or rating) and the specific form in the Form field.
  • orders — order status change. Select the order storage and status: bonuses are accrued when the order transitions to this status.
  • Date — bonuses are accrued on the date and time specified in the Accrual Date field.

The forms and orders options are available in the list only if the form and order modules are connected in the project.

Accrual Limit​

For the forms and orders triggers, you can limit how many times a bonus is accrued to a single user:

  • If the Unlimited checkbox is checked — the bonus is accrued with each occurrence of the event;
  • If the checkbox is unchecked — specify the maximum number of accruals (at least 1).

There is no limit for the date trigger.

Bonus Validity Period​

Set the validity period for accrued bonuses: the number of days after accrual or an end date. The setting on this tab takes precedence; if it is not filled out, the global lifespan of bonuses from Bonus Settings applies.

Conditions​

Conditions work the same as in Discount. As with Personal Discount, an additional condition User attribute is available.

If the accrual trigger is not an order (form or date), conditions based on product, category, and product attribute are not available.

Bonus Size​

This tab defines the size of the accrual. Until the Events tab is configured, the fields here are inactive.

  • Accrual Type — type of accrual. A fixed amount is always available; for the orders trigger, a percentage of the order amount (or the product price if the bonus applies to a product) is also available.
  • Accrual size — amount or percentage (not more than 100).
  • Maximum bonus amount — only for percentage accrual; 0 means no limit.
  • Applicability — only for the orders trigger: to the product or to the entire order. "To the product" can be selected if there is a condition based on product, category, or product attribute in the Conditions tab; otherwise, the bonus is accrued to the entire order.

Version History​

History of changes to the bonus.

Accrued bonuses and their transaction history can be viewed in the user editor on the Bonus balance tab.
