Creating a Frequently Ordered Block

The Frequently ordered block recommends products that statistically often appear in the same order. It is well-suited for the "Frequently bought together" section on the product or cart page.

1. Creating the Block

In the Name field, enter the title, in the "Type" field select "Frequently ordered," and specify the

Marker
.

2. Editing the Block

The FrequentlyOrderedSettings screen includes the following sections:

  • Basic data
  • Strategy & filters
  • Audience filter
  • Simulated user ID (Preview)
  • Preview (Open in modal)

Strategy & filters

Next to each setting is an (HelpHint) icon with explanations:

  • Selection Strategy (Strategy) — algorithm:
    • Co-purchased — based on statistics of co-purchases (the main option for this type of block).
    • Similar by attributes — based on matching attribute values.
    • Category match — top products from selected categories.
  • Exclude already added — do not show products that the user has already added to the cart.
  • Fallback to trending — what to show if the main algorithm finds nothing (trending products or an empty result).

Audience filter

The audience for the block — see Audience Filter.

Attributes

The "Attributes" tab contains two dropdowns for selecting a Template and a Set of Attributes.

Simulated user ID — preview "as if" from the user's perspective

To see what a specific user would see, there is an input for Simulated user ID in the Preview section. Enter the user ID — the preview will generate results as if the request came from them.

💡When to Use

Particularly useful for blocks like Frequently ordered / Repeat purchase / Personal recommendations — where the result heavily depends on the specific user's history.

Preview

The "Open in modal" button opens the Preview Modal with Basic and Investigate tabs.
